Let us claim the covenant God has made with his people and accept the yoke of Christ.
When we accept the yoke of Christ, we allow Christ to guide all that we do and all that we are.
Christ himself is our only reward.
Christ has many ways for us to serve him; some are easy, others are difficult.
Some receive applause; others bring only reproach.
Nevertheless, we must always faithfully serve the Lord.
If we want to please the Lord, we must carry the cross and deny ourselves
May Christ strengthen us and give us the power to serve Him and the congregation
Therefore let us make this covenant with God
Let us give ourselves completely to God
Trusting in God’s promises and relying on God’s grace
I am no longer my own but yours
Put me to what you will, rank me with whom you will
put me to doing, put me to suffering;
let me be employed for you, or laid aside for you,
exalted for you, or brought low for you
let me be full, let me be empty
let me have all things, let me have nothing
I freely and wholeheartedly yield all things to your pleasure and disposal
And now, glorious and blessed God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit
you are mine and I am yours. And the covenant now made on earth, let it be ratified in
And the covenant now made on earth, let it be ratified in heaven. Amen.
